we fully expect the Amazon Kindle reader to be a big seller this christmas and with it already having a delivery time of 1to2 weeks, if you leave it too long to order then you might just struggle to get 1 before christmas.

The Kindle reader is brought to you by Amazon and comes in 2 different versions wifi and wifi+3G. The main difference between the 2 is that wifi+3g version allows you to buy new books and surf the web around the world with it’s built in FREE 3g connection. Both versions have the same screen size and case dimensions indeed the 3G version is only 6grams heavier!

Both versions can store 3,500 books have a battery life time of 1month (with wireless switched off – you only need wireless on when downloading new books)

The wifi only version costs £109 and the wifi+3G version costs £149

Is Kindle (Wi-Fi) or Kindle 3G (Free 3G + Wi-Fi) right for me?

Kindle (Wi-Fi) is a great choice if you already have a high-speed internet connection and wireless router setup at home, and do not want the added convenience of a 3G connection which enables you to download books anytime, anywhere on the go. If you do not have Wi-Fi setup in your home, Kindle 3G would be a better option.

Kindle 3G (Free 3G + Wi-Fi) is the easiest option because there is no wireless setup—you are ready to shop, purchase, and read right out of the box. Built-in Free 3G connectivity uses the same wireless signals that cell phones use, but there are no monthly fees or commitments—Amazon pays for Kindle’s 3G wireless connectivity. The added convenience of 3G enables you to download books anytime, anywhere on the go—without having to find a Wi-Fi hotspot connection. With wireless coverage in over 100 countries and territories, Kindle 3G is a great option for travelers. Check 3G coverage area.

Based on the best-selling book of the same name, The Damned United is the story of one of Britain’s finest ever football managers, Brian Clough, and his curtailed 44-day reign at the helm of Leeds United. It turns out it’s also the tale of his formative years at Derby County, the story of his rivalry with previous Leeds United boss Don Revie, and ultimately, the exploration of his relationship with his assistant, Peter Taylor.

The film explores the story by moving backwards and forwards in time, but always at the heart of The Damned United is its trump card. Michael Sheen has already richly deserved an abundance of plaudits in his acting career, not least for his superb portrayal of David Frost in Frost/Nixon, and he carves out another terrific performance here. Taking on the challenge of playing the larger than life Clough, his work here is tremendous, and the highlight of an already-strong cast that also features Timothy Spall and Colm Meaney.

On the screen, the story of The Damned United is actually distilled into quite a straightforward tale, albeit one considerably enhanced by its aforementioned cast. It wisely keeps its running time trimmed, and while you can’t help but suspect that there’s much to the story that’s not explored here, it’s a good, solid telling of a quite extraordinary tale.

Jenson Button’s re-emergence on the top step of the podium under the management of Ross Brawn has been the biggest story in Formula 1 for decades. MY GRAND PRIX SEASON is Jenson’s personal diary of the 2009 season. In it, he takes a race-by-race approach, beginning each chapter with a run-down of everything from details of the circuit to pre-race testing, changes to the car, and notes on specific strategy and training, fitness and mental preparation. He relives practice and qualifying sessions, and of course gives a detailed account of each race from the driver’s perspective. This personal commentary is interspersed with notes on techie stats and records broken, transcripts of in-car radio exchanges, quotes from the team, snippets from the TV commentary and even Jenson’s own text messages to give a real sense of the spirit and atmosphere of each race weekend. Fans will have already seen the races, but this beautifully produced, highly illustrated book is an opportunity to relive the highs and lows and discover what it has really been like for Jenson to find himself suddenly at the front of the pack, with a truly competitive car at his disposal, after nine years spent waiting in the wings. With a foreword by team boss Ross Brawn and an introductory section giving the driver’s perspective on the events leading up to the first race – including the demise of Honda, the last-minute management buyout and genesis of the Brawn team, and the development of the most advanced car on the grid – it is not only a fascinating and informative read, but also a must-have souvenir of a truly sensational season.
